With every set of hair extensions I fit, I provide my clients with a complimentary goodie bag containing the Hydrate System and a brush, so they have everything they need to get off to the best possible start.
I also recommend booking regular maintenance appointments to keep the extensions looking and feeling their best. Many of my extension clients also enjoy weekly blow-dries, which help keep their hair in fantastic condition and looking salon-fresh.
If I had to choose just one piece of advice, though, it would be this: make brushing your hair your new best friend! It sounds so simple, but regular, gentle brushing is one of the most important steps in preventing tangles, maintaining the hair, and keeping your hair extensions looking beautiful for as long as possible.”
What hair extension trends are you seeing more clients request right now?
Carla Vincent:
“Hands down, I’m seeing more and more requests for Flat Tips (keratin bonds). Clients love how discreet, comfortable, and natural they are. I’m also finding that many of my weave clients are making the switch to the new Tape Weft method because it’s lightweight, versatile, and gives such a seamless finish. It’s been exciting to see clients embracing these newer methods to achieve their dream hair.”
What's your go-to hair extension method and why?
Carla Vincent:
“I’ve always been a huge fan of Flat Tips, they’re definitely my favourite extension method. They’re incredibly discreet and, in my opinion, mimic the natural movement of hair better than any other method. Super low maintenance & I also love how creative you can be with colour placement, allowing you to create beautifully blended, bespoke results for every client.”
