Tape hair extensions will require regular maintenance from 6-8 weeks. With the use of SWAY haircare the hair will last 6-12 months. To make your tape hair extensions last longer, we recommend using the correct haircare, such as the five-step SWAY Hydrate System, to ensure your locks remain nourished.

What are the drawbacks of tape extensions? +

When considering tape hair extensions, it’s important they are applied by a professional. If attaching them to your natural hair yourself, you risk the tape-in hair extensions pulling on the roots of your natural hair which may cause breakage or hair loss.

Do tape-in hair extensions fall out easily? +

Can I wash my hair with tape-ins? +

Whilst you can wash your hair with tape-in extensions, it’s important to wait at least 48 hours after application before washing your hair. Our other hair-washing advice remains the same as our other extensions, including our clip-ins, which include gently washing the hair with our Hydrate System.
